Repurposing used curtains by Zoe Baker-Bellesis
A few weeks ago, my family were amid replacing our house curtains. In doing so, we had heaps of fabric leftover from the old curtains. This provided me with a starting concept; to explore the potential of repurposed curtain. I struggled to conceptualise a final outcome but after some experimentation with said fabrics, I thought to use the same checkerboard-patchwork method used to create my tunic earlier in the semester, in conjunction with materials sourced from the curtains (i.e. fabric and curtain rings) as well as utilising torn and offcut pieces, to limit waste.
