Repurposed Damaged Garments Made into a Multi-Style Wrap Dress

Sarah Strempel

This project demonstrates how four damaged garments have been combined to create a dress worn in multiple ways. Holes, rips, and stains in the clothes were made into an interesting feature with consideration of placement on the body. The focus of this project addresses the damaging effects of excess clothing ending up in landfill from disposing pieces that are a little less than perfect. The purpose of this dress is to inspire others to extend the life of their garments and work towards a more sustainable future.
