PROJECT DESCRIPTION

My project for fashion reuse design project outcome was a series of swatches. I made six detachable shirt pockets that can all be placed on and off the same light blue business shirt. The business shirt has five buttons on it and each pocket has buttonholes on the back of the pocket to attach the new pocket front the original shirt pocket. The pockets are made out of recycled old magazine paper and plastic beads that are threaded onto a recycled fabric flat pocket pattern. The concept is that you can wear the same shirt multiple times with a different pocket, and it is a way to upcycle the garment.
