Arnsdorf’s SS21’ introduces an exciting international collaboration with Brooklyn based ceramic artist, Simone Bodmer-Turner. This collection is heavily informed by the shapes of the sculptures by Bodmer-Turner and reflected in the shape, colour, print and accessories of each design. There is a repeating motif of organic forms and the ethos of both creatives are emphasized by employing natural and sustainably sourced materials as the basis of all garments and reusing offcuts of the season’s fabric swatches for companion accessory items. Transforming Bodmer-Turner’s iconic sculptures such as the ‘Petite Bridge Vessel’ and ‘Marseille III, (2019)’ into a laser-etched pattern for this season’s denim pushes towards a well-considered approach to eco-friendly textile transformation. SS21’ celebrates the unique qualities in natural materials by reconnecting with organic and environmentally conscious methods of sourcing and production.
