The goal of my project is to find a creative use for unworn or surplus t-shirts. The project came about due to the huge number of t-shirts I have accumulated over the years but have no real use for. During this process, I experimented with bleaching, painting, and piecing together different t-shirts to produce a series of three unique upcycled t-shirts. The techniques I have used can be explored further for the purpose of upcycling t-shirts, but they can also be expanded into other garments such as jeans or hoodies. My garments are aimed at a young, urban demographic.
